Devious LipsThe past, like a greedy mouth,  
beckons,  teeth gnashing,  gnashing.   
What terrible fortunes avoided?  What choices have led  to the eclipse of something better?  Ever gnashing,  molars grind and philosophers warn  of its pitfalls.   
Yet still the scholars flock,  for to learn of the past  
is to interpret the future.  Heedless, they dive, swallowed  whole.

Traveling with GodsAnd I long once again for the cool winds of Autumn,  those traveling breezes, ever stirring my feet  to movement.  A restless caress, nudging sweetly forward,  ever forward, ever forward.  Whispers, sharp whispers  in my ear telling tales of where  it’s been,  
where it goes.  Follow us….  dance fly swirl  …with us…   
Light-footed Hermes paves the way  with pleasant conversation  and a knack for picking the right road  to follow.  The air, crisp and still,  leaves red kisses on cheeks,

Prayer for HealingI don’t want my eyes to focus,  my hand to leave my brow.  The sweaty-cool sickness, how it  grips and paralyzes-  spider-like, angry.   
Through the haze of tears  
and pain  and breath that smells like not enough flossing,  not nearly often enough…  Your form glides,  parts the incense smoke.  I forget it all for a moment,  watch the scented air swirl as it delights  
in being near to You.  The incense dresses You in my offering  and I smile  then cringe,  
pulling hair,  squeezing fists,  biting lips,  repress the pain,   Prayer for Healing

Thoughts of a GoddessI thought of you today, Love,  and a smile touched my lips so briefly.  I then imagined my smile touching your lips  briefly  and the intoxication of it all  melted  me.   
Eyes that meet then  dance away, pretending.  But your lips, Love, cannot lie  and a flitter at the corners tells me everything  I already knew.   
And a longer gaze, Love,  a longer gaze we hold  like hands under a faucet,

alksdfjThe carpet that swallowed your feet  is now my sea  and it sings out pleas that you wrote yourself  begging to be heard,  over the traffic that fills my head.  The bed you fell into hasn't been the same  the indentation you left,

sweeeetwriting things down  means thinking ahead  and we all know  i'm no good at that  and I wish you'd just notice  that I'm quite a sweetheart  when it comes to shoving my hands  down my own throat  just to feel good about  growing old.  I just want to feel safe  and that open window is rather unappealing  even if it is  my only source of air.  If this is breathing  I don't want to know what a heart attack feels like  but i've had many of those  or so it seems  kicking and screaming  freaking out the neighbors  with my blaring tunes  and my fi sweeeet

I always hated titles.you said it yourself  the world is too small for me  and the windshield is just blocking my view of what's real  and what's just a sign for the next state  the next state of mind and the next state line.  criss cross criss cross  we're not children anymore  but you sure know how to break a few things of mine  and I know how to get under your skin.  your daddy left you and now you go ahead and do the same  thanks.  but step away from the car  
you're driving too far back  I didn't want to go this way  too many times I've stepped backwards  into what was just you talking I always hated titles.

Sorry.Do apologies come from the heart,  defining what we’ve broken,  or do they wrench up from our throats,  taking back false words we’ve spoken?   
Visions shoved to the back of my mind,  a battle of dissent.  Letting down my guard, a shot to my soul,  abandoned to repent.   
The words won’t leave my lips,  though thoughts rush through my veins,  if I could I’d turn back time,  before I caused this pain. Sorry.

Once again, it's been a while.

And for the record, I'm not much into journaling, so I hope you all feel damn lucky to have read this. Ahem.

Since we last saw our young Hero, the Local Ted, he has moved (back) to the Commonwealth (WFT?) of Virginia, serving a short but lively tour aboard a Frigate. He has traded his boot camp lifestyle (and his previous lifestyle of country-dweller) for that of an urbanite. I must say, he's taken to it rather well.

So yeah, I live in the city now, where I get to walk to places and my commute to work is a paltry 4 miles. I'm totally going to start cycling to work. I like that area we've moved to, and this time around in Virginia is quite a bit better than the last time =) So the moral of the story is I rock and things are good.

Oh yeah, and go watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Right now.
